ipe
Is a dense hardwood that can be used for outdoor architecture. Is one of the best options in the market. It has an incredible resistance and the fire rating is comparable with steel and concrete. The natural properties of IPE are incredible: it’s mildew and decay resistant, it’s density and natural oil make an impermeable layer to insects. One of the most relevant specifications of IPE WOOD is that it doesn’t scratch or splinter easily and it does not become hot in the sun.
Cumaru
Cumaru (or Brazilian Teak) is one of the best hardwoods available for outdoor and indoor construction. Second to Ipe in density, Cumaru is ideal because of its quality and its resistance towards mildew, decay and termites. Experts often choose Cumaru because it’s more cost effective than other materials such as Composite, Teak and Ipe and it doesn’t cut back on durability. Cumaru has a very high slip and scratch resistance, making it one of the safest decking choices for projects like pool decks and docks.
Jatoba
Jatoba, or Brazilian Cherry, is widely used for exterior carpentry and indoor flooring. This harwood, having a similar color to a domestic chery, it’s known for its durability and high friction coefficient, making it the perfect choice for indoor areas that have high foot traffic. Jatoba is scratch and slip resistant by nature, it is also a tough opponent against mold, termites and other wood damaging insects.
Garapa
This tropical hardwood is widely used in any sort of outdoor woodworking project because of its hardness and its high resistance to extreme weather conditions. Garapa is very workable, even though it is quite dense, it can also be very bendy, fulfilling different kinds of purposes. It is mostly used for patios and lawn decking because it is proof against mold, termites, decay and water.
Tigerwood
Tigerwood is one of the most unique and exotic hardwoods available. Named after its appearance, Tigerwood is proven to last over 30 years without preservatives, maintaining its beautiful reddish-brown colors with black and brown stripes. Tigerwood is sustainably harvested like all our other hardwoods and you can use it for both indoor and outdoor projects knowing that it will look like a vibrant work of art.
